After several years of leading with passion, tenacity and empathy, Thu-Trang Tran is leaving Volunteer West to pursue her next role as Chief Executive Officer at Volunteering Victoria.

Although Thu-Trang will be missed here, we have no doubt her expertise will be well received by her new peers. She will commence her new position on January 16, 2023, after wrapping up as Volunteer West’s CEO mid-December.

Throughout her 3-year tenure, she has built Volunteer West’s reputation to where it stands today. She has consistently advocated to build and support the volunteering sector in Melbourne’s West.

A few of her many extraordinary achievements have included:

- Gaining $1million funding from the Working for Victoria initiative

- Developing VolREACH - a platform for volunteering research, engagement and advocacy community hubs

- Building the policy and practice of volunteering through research projects and partnerships

Roland Selvanayagam, President of Volunteer West's Board, says

"Thu-Trang leaves with our best wishes, our thanks for the leadership she showed, and the energy she expended in moving Volunteer West successfully ahead into new horizons.”

We know her vision will continue to strengthen the volunteering sector at our state peak body, Volunteering Victoria.

Please join us in congratulating Thu-Trang on her appointment via our LinkedIn post.
